DTA: Into the Waking World

This is my contest entry for this DTA by auric-fox.deviantart.com/art/D….

It was done in coloured pencil and watercolour on pretty ordinary drawing paper and highlighted with some glitter pens. I know the colours are slightly off compared to the design, but that is because the number of coloured pencils I have is rather limited . On digital art, I would stick to the original colours, the alteration isn't on purpose or anything.

Kitsumeras are a closed species by who also made the design.




"As she visited her chosen companions dream, Nephelee already felt the connection to her. The dream wasn't exactly a bad one, but there was a very subtle sadness in it's serenity. When the petite Kitsumera carefully made her apperance, she could see the eyes of the human light up in wonder. Nephelee hat no doubts about the soul of that girl, but she wished she could touch her hand and take away some of her loneliness. After the dream ended, Nephelee hoped that her suggestion had been strong enough and that the girl named Loreley would invite her into the waking world. An eternity seemed to have past when the Kitsumera finally felt a pull towards something she could not see. She gathered all her energy and courageously, yet al little frightened, let herself get carried away on that current, that was taking her into the world of humans. Her little heart was beating all the way up to her throat, but when she broke though the dreamcatcher and entered Loreleys room bathed in a golden mornings light she knew that she was finally home."
